Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of six players each, are separated by a high net. The objective of the game is to send a ball over the net and ground it on the opponent’s side while preventing them from doing the same on your side. Players can use any part of their body to hit the ball, but it must not be caught or held. The game is played in sets, where teams score points by successfully grounding the ball on the opponent’s court, with teams alternating serves. Volleyball can be played indoors on a court or outdoors on sand, with variations like beach volleyball and sitting volleyball. The sport emphasizes teamwork, coordination, and communication, and it is governed by specific rules set by organizations such as the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
