Labor Strikes

Labor strikes are organized work stoppages initiated by employees or a group of workers to protest against conditions set by their employer, typically regarding issues like wages, working hours, benefits, job security, or unsafe working conditions. Strikes are a form of collective action aimed at exerting pressure on employers to negotiate and fulfill the demands of workers. The purpose of a strike is often to draw attention to grievances and to force management to come to the bargaining table. Strikes can be legal or illegal, depending on labor laws and regulations in a specific jurisdiction. They may occur in various forms, including full strikes, partial strikes, or wildcat strikes (unauthorized by union leadership). Historically, labor strikes have played a significant role in labor movements and have led to significant changes in labor laws and practices.
