Climate Change

Climate change refers to significant and long-term alterations in temperature, precipitation, wind patterns, and other elements of the Earth’s climate system. It encompasses both natural processes and human-induced changes, particularly as a result of increased levels of greenhouse gases—such as carbon dioxide and methane—due to activities like burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. Climate change can lead to various environmental impacts, including rising global temperatures, melting polar ice caps, rising sea levels, more frequent and severe weather events, and shifts in ecosystems and biodiversity. Addressing climate change requires concerted global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to its effects, and transition to more sustainable practices.
